Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers arrested a pair of suspected impaired drivers within about one hour over the weekend.
Both arrests were within the Municipality of Lakeshore.
The first arrest was shortly after 10:15 p.m. on Friday. OPP officers responded to a complaint about a vehicle and stopped it on County Road 22 near West Puce Road.
A 44-year-old Stoney Point woman has been charged with impaired driving, driving with excessive blood-alcohol concentration, and driving with alcohol readily available.
The second incident took place at approximately 11:20 p.m. on County Road 27 near Baseline Road. Officers conducted a traffic stop.
A 32-year-old Woodslee woman has been charged with impaired driving, driving with excessive blood-alcohol concentration, driving with alcohol readily available, and driving with cannabis readily available.
Both drivers have had their licences suspended for 90 days, and their vehicles impounded for seven days.
The charges have not been proven in court. Both suspects will have a chance to respond to the counts in a Windsor court on October 9.
