Unifor and Titan Tool & Die have reached an agreement, bringing a nearly year-long lockout to an end.
More than two dozen Local195 members have been locked out of the Windsor facility since August 11, 2025.
“While the end of operations is not the outcome we hoped for, our members will now receive the severance payment that they are due,” said Unifor National President Lana Payne in a news release. “Unifor truly appreciates the support of our broader union in this struggle and the amazing solidarity these members received throughout.”
The workers have between 30 and 40 years of service.
On January 13, 2026, the Company notified Unifor it had ceased operations.
“For nearly a year and through every season, these workers have held firm on the picket line to get what they were owed,” said Emile Nabbout, President of Unifor Local 195, in a news release. Unifor is Canada’s largest union in the private sector, representing 320,000 workers.
