Police launch Wanted in Windsor, ask for help locating 10 suspects

As part of a new public awareness campaign, the Windsor Police Service has identified 10 people wanted on outstanding warrants for serious criminal offences.

They're calling the campaign "Wanted in Windsor."

The crimes date back as far as 2022, and the individuals are wanted for crimes including attempted murder, sexual assault, extortion, and drug trafficking.

"With a little bit of luck and with the community's involvement, we're hoping to make some arrests here, and we have a lot of people in our community who have outstanding arrest warrants, we'll revisit the list at that time," said Deputy Chief Ken Cribley.

The full list of individuals, their photos, and a summary of their charges can be found on the Windsor Police website.

Many of the people on the list were previously arrested by the Windsor Police and then were released by the courts and failed to return to answer to their charges.

Cribley said the list was established in consultation with investigators.

"There's public interest that's involved, there's the expectation that the community may be able to help, so a lot of the factors that were put into it really revolve around that," said Cribley.

The Wanted in Windsor suspects are different from those listed as Windsor's Most Wanted, which can also be found online.

"We're here to bring the awareness that these individuals are wanted and hopefully, within a couple of days, we're going to get some information," said Staff Sergeant Dave Tennent.
