Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say two people have been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation in Tecumseh.
Officers were called to Aloha Drive off Old Tecumseh Road at around 2 p.m. on Thursday for a weapons complaint. When they arrived, a black Dodge Challenger and a white Dodge Ram were there."
"Both vehicles fled the scene, and police briefly pursued and attempted to stop them," said OPP Constable Chris Ciliska. "The two vehicles failed to stop, and they collided with each other at Tecumseh Road and Lesperance Road, which disabled the Challenger."
The two occupants of the Challenger were arrested. The Ram pickup truck drove off toward the city of Windsor, but police terminated the chase for public safety reasons.
There were no injuries as a result of the collision, and police say there is no threat to public safety.
Essex County OPP Major Crimes Unit has taken over the still-active investigation.
