Police release more information on latest homicide

Windsor police continue to search for the suspect wanted in connection to the shooting death of 53-year-old Sean Shuart.

Shuart was shot outside the Homelessness and Housing Help Hub (H4) on Monday morning. Both the suspect and the victim had accessed the H4 services but police do not know their connection at this time.

Investigators believe this to be an isolated incident but they do not have a motive.

The suspect, described as a light-skinned mixed-race man, may go by the name Ty.

"His full identity has not been confirmed and we don't know if that's a nickname or just a street name, so we're not putting a lot of credibility into that name at this time," said Staff Sergeant Ted Novak.

The suspect was last seen in the area of Glengarry Street and Assumption Street. Police continue to canvas the area for more surveillance video.

"Our priority right now is ensuring public safety and bringing the suspect into custody and we appreciate the community's cooperation and timely response, if they have any information please come forward," said Novak.

The gun used in the incident has not been recovered. Investigators say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
