New Connect Grey hub seeks feedback from residents

Grey County residents now have a fast and convenient way to have their say on local community projects and issues.

Grey County has launched Connect Grey, a new online engagement hub designed to bring public feedback and county initiatives together into one central location.

Through the platform, residents can share opinions, ask questions, and follow updates on major projects, such as the redevelopment of Rockwood Terrace, the Resilient Grey initiative, and municipal road transfers.

The platform kicked off with a community favourite: the “Name the Plow” campaign. Residents were invited to submit up to three creative names for the county’s snowplow fleet, and community voting on those options is now expected to get underway. The winning names will be chosen later this fall, and winning decals will hit the roads on the plows this winter.

Grey County Communications Manager Rob Hatten said the new tool makes participating in local government far more convenient.

“Connect Grey makes it easier for residents to be part of the conversation, whenever and wherever it suits them," he added. The feedback we hear from residents helps shape the decisions we make. Whether you’re suggesting a name for a snowplow or sharing your thoughts on a major County project, we want to hear from you.”

Looking ahead, Grey County plans to partner with local municipalities to link their engagement pages to Connect Grey, eventually creating a single regional hub where residents can access both county and town updates using one single account.
