Traffic stop results in police seizing over $3K in illicit drugs

A recent traffic stop in Kincardine saw police seize thousands of dollars worth of illicit drugs and other property.

According to South Bruce OPP, on September 29, a traffic stop was conducted on Hwy. 21 in Kincardine. During that stop, officers recovered suspected fentanyl, suspected methamphetamine, and Canadian currency. A further search warrant was executed at an address in the Municipality of Kincardine, with further seizures of drug trafficking indicators.

The estimated potential street value of the suspected controlled substances is over $3,000, and the seized property value being over $1,000.

A 43-year-old from Kincardine and a 41-year-old from Goderich are both facing charges of possession for the purposes of trafficking.

The 43-year-old accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody. The 41-year-old accused was released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich on October 19, 2026.
