Wellington County OPP are looking for suspects after thousands of dollars worth of copper wire was stolen from a business in the Township of Minto.
The reported theft happened at the unnamed business on 12th Line sometime between 11 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Monday. Police said one or more people were involved in the theft.
"Telecommunication wires are often targeted for their copper content, which is commonly resold at scrap yards, making them a target for theft," police said. "The Wellington County OPP urges the public to report any suspicious activity near telecom infrastructure.
The investigation into the latest theft is ongoing.
