Bruce County will host another household hazardous waste drop-off event for residents next week.
The latest drop-off will be held September 26 at the Southampton Works Yard at 429 Peel Street in Southampton from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Items that will be accepted include paints and stains, aerosols and solvents, propane tanks, fuel, used oil and oil filters, batteries and antifreeze, household cleaners, fluorescent lights, fertilizers and pesticides, pool chemicals, pharmaceuticals, fire extinguishers.
There are a number of items that are not accepted, including commercial, industrial, agricultural waste, PCB materials, ammunition and flares. A full list of accepted on non-acceptable items can be seen here: http://www.brucecounty.on.ca/hazardouswaste.
