A one-night outdoor celebration will bring together art and music in downtown Wiarton on Saturday.
The Deep Water Gallery will host Light Up the Night outside 583 and 589 Berford Street from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The night will feature installations and projections alongside live art, a walking gallery, and buskers. There will also be music and food. Downtown businesses have also been encouraged to stay open during the event.
“Light Up the Night is an invitation to see Wiarton’s main street and surrounding spaces differently – not simply as a place to pass through, but as a place we can make together,” said Gallery Chair Kelly McDougall. “We want people to come curious, stay awhile, and experience what happens when artists, businesses and neighbours bring a night to life.”
Deep Water is public, non-profit gallery that supports local artists through exhibitions and creative community programming.
Saturday's event will run rain or shine.
