Stratford Police Service are issuing a reminder to drive safely around students after a person was charged with stunt driving on the first day of school.
According to police, the driver was stopped after officers clocked them going 97 km/h in a posted 50 zone along O'Loane Avenue, shortly before 8 a.m.
The 41-year-old of Stratford was charged with stunt driving, received an immediate 30-day licence suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
Police say with two high schools in the area, speeds of this nature put everyone at risk, and there is zero tolerance for this driving during their return to school traffic safety initiative.
