Kincardine to host 11th Annual Marine Heritage Day

Kincardine's rich maritime history and vibrant waterfront traditions will take the spotlight as the 11th Annual Marine Heritage Day returns on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

Hosted along the scenic Kincardine Waterfront and North Pier, the community-wide event features a full lineup of family-friendly, educational activities that highlight local nautical history.

Attendees of all ages can enjoy hands-on displays, vessel tours, and museum open houses throughout the day. People can enjoy exploring the iconic Playfair Tall Ship, step aboard the OPP boat, and tour local rescue unit displays dockside. The festival is also an opportunity to take advantage of free admission and tours at both the historic Walker House Museum and the Kincardine Lighthouse.

Participants can also learn about the region’s rich nautical past through guided Marine Heritage tours. There will be something for everyone to enjoy, with children and families able to participate in themed crafts and interactive displays throughout the waterfront.
