Huron OPP officers rushed to an abandoned building in Goderich following a report about a group of people with weapons.
The incident on Huron Road was reported to police around 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday. There was added concern because the empty building is near several local businesses.
Officers arrived on scene and quickly determined the weapons were toy pellet guns. Six people were initially detained during the investigation but were later released without charges.
No injuries were reported.
Police reassure there was no threat to public safety.
