Members of the public are being invited to celebrate at the upcoming 5th Annual Hindu Culture Open House in Kincardine.
This year, the open house will be held on Saturday, August 15 from 2:30-5:30 p.m. at Victoria Park in Kincardine.
Everyone is welcome to attend the event regardless of faith, culture, or background. There will be a celebration of Hindu traditions, connections made with other community members, and a general celebration of the connections that make the region stronger.
There will be plenty of fun activities, including a colourful community parade through Victoria Park, yoga and meditation sessions promoting health and wellness, interactive cultural exhibits showcasing Hindu traditions, art, history, and philosophy and complimentary traditional Indian cuisine.
Additionally, attendees can expect music and dance performances, hands-on activities including henna art, friendship band tying, and trying on traditional attire, as well as opportunities to connect with local families, volunteers, and community organizations.
The celebration is being put on by the Swajan Samanvay Sanatan Centre (SSSC), in partnership with Bruce Power.
