Humane Society brings back calendar contest

The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo and Stratford Perth is bringing back a photo contest for its annual calendar fundraiser.

Pet owners can enter in the humane society's sixth annual Calendar Contest, presented by Fish Lake Road, and help raise much-needed funds to support local animals.

As of July 1, contestants can submit their favourite photo of their pet and a short bio for a $10 contest entry fee. Every pet entered prior to July 5 will be eligible to win an early-bird Pet Prize Pack from Pawz-N-Dogz.

The top eight dogs, three cats, and one other animal will receive a professional pet photoshoot that will be featured in the calendar for 2027, which will also help commemorate the humane society's 100th anniversary.

Each entry will be open to votes from the public until July 31. Voters will receive one vote for every dollar donated to support the animal of their choice. The top three pets with the most votes across all categories will also receive extra prizes, with first place winning the spot on the calendar cover.
