Bayfield Lions bring in 1,000 lbs of food and nearly $4k in donations at home show

The Bayfield Lions Club brought in over 1,000 pounds of food and almost $4,000 in cash donations at the recent Bayfield Home and Lifestyle Show.

Held on April 25-26 at the Bayfield Community Centre, the show resulted in a very successful day of donations, which will directly benefit the Bayfield Area Food Bank.

Over the years, the Bayfield Lions have chosen not to charge admission to the Home and Lifestyle Show, instead asking people to bring food or cash donations.

The collected food and funds will assist the Bayfield Area Food Bank, which distributes food to clients every two weeks. The Bayfield Lions Club are thanking everyone who helped out by donating.

With demand remaining high at the Bayfield Area Food Bank, the Bayfield Lions are encouraging everyone to continue donating food or cash to the food bank if possible to help meet that ever growing demand.
