Coldest Night of the Year walks celebrated in Bruce and Grey

Four Coldest Night of the Year walks in Bruce and Grey raised over $130,000.

The annual event, facilitated by the United Way, raises money to support local initiatives aimed at supporting those experiencing hurt, hunger and homelessness.

Bruce Grey United Way has shared that the walks in Meaford and Kincardine surpassed their fundraising goals, and the walks in Markdale and Saugeen Shores are nearing their marks.

The walks in those communities are supporting the Kincardine Good Food Box, the Meaford Rotary Club, the South East Grey Community Health Centre and the Southampton Rotary Club.

With three events at or beyond their goals, the region is now just $15,000 away from reaching its full Coldest Night of the Year fundraising target.
