For the second night in a row, the Emergency Department at the Wingham and District Hospital will close temporarily.
A press release from the Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance (LWHA) confirms that the ED in Wingham will close at 10 p.m. on Thursday until 7 a.m. on Friday, February 13.
The LWHA says the closure is "a last resort doe to staffing shortages."
The ED was also forced to close overnight on Wednesday.
Ambulances will bypass the hospital during the closure period and travel to the nearest open ER. All local health care providers will be informed of this closure.
