Catch the Ace lottery set to continue

A popular weekly lottery is coming back to Kincardine.

On Sunday, Huron Shores Hospice and the Tiverton and District Lions Club announced the continuation of the Catch the Ace draw.

The 50/50 lottery has already raised over $600,000 for hospice care and community projects.

“We are grateful for the strong community support that has made Catch the Ace such a success,” said Cathy Herbert, Executive Director at Huron Shores Hospice.

Both organizations note the draw has helped to fund many initiatives, including supporting the expansion of a third suite at the hospice. The Lions club has used the money to fund a splash pad, an Autism Assist dog for a local child, hospital beds in Kincardine, Child ID kits, Community Living Kincardine, as well as the refurbishment of the Masonic Building.

The organizations are working to gain approval for a license by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and will announce the launch at a later time.
