Midwestern Ontario snow won't cease on Wednesday

Old man winter isn't letting up this week, as the region is set to get up to 20 additional centimetres of snow on Wednesday.

Environment Canada has issued a yellow snowfall warning for much of Bruce, Grey, Huron, Perth and Wellington Counties. The latest weather alert comes on the heels of a blizzard warning Monday and snow squall warnings on Tuesday.

According to the national weather service, an Alberta clipper will push into the region with snow beginning mid-week. Signficant snowfall is expected, with amounts of 15 to 20 cm possible from Wednesday morning through to the night.

Wind gusts near 50 km/h may also lead to blowing snow, especially for more exposed wind prone areas.

Travel will continue to be challenging, and West Region OPP are urging drivers to use caution if they must be on the roads.
