Kincardine Yoga Fest donates to Wingham and District Hospital Foundation

Proceeds from the Kincardine Yoga Fest have been donated to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation.

Kincardine Yoga Fest was co-founded by Darrel Perry, owner of Penetangear, and Eric Cunliffe, owner of Shakti Rhythm Yoga.

The two are donating $3,456 to the Oncology Department at the Wingham and District Hospital.

The Kincardine Yoga Fest was started in 2016 and began as a grassroots initiative, combining "wellness, yoga, and the natural beauty of Kincardine’s shoreline to raise funds for local charities," according to the yoga fest co-founders.

All proceeds from the yoga fest go back to community initiatives, and the Oncology Department in Wingham was chosen this year to help ensure local patients continue to have access to excellent cancer care closer to home.

"We are thrilled that this year’s Yoga Fest proceeds will go to a cause that has touched the lives of so many people," Cunliffe shared. "Supporting the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation allows us to blend our passion for yoga with giving back to the broader community."

"We’re deeply grateful to Darrel, Eric, and everyone who participated in the event," said Nicole Duquette-Jutzi, Executive Director of the WDH Foundation. "Their generosity allows us to ensure the best possible equipment is in the hands of our skilled medical professionals when they are caring for patients who need it most."
