Huron County OPP once again warning the public about crypto scams

Huron County OPP are reminding the public again about the dangers of online cryptocurrency scams.

According to police, there have been six reported crypto scam incidents over the last three months in Huron County, with losses totalling nearly $700,000.

Police are urging people to "seek professional, accredited consultation before investing their hard earned money."

You should never trust online crypto ads or unsolicited phone calls regarding investments in crypto.

Also, the public is reminded that government agencies do not accept cryptocurrency, and everyone should conduct diligent research and ask questions before making any investments, especially in cryptocurrencies.
