Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee to host Minto clothing swap

Minto's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee will host a clothing swap event next month.

The Community Clothing Swap will be on Saturday, October 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Harriston-Minto Community Centre.

This free event offers residents the chance to empty out closets, reduce waste and get new items themselves. Participants are encouraged to bring clean, gently used cold-weather clothing such as jackets, snow gear, boots, and everyday wear.

You do not need to donate to participate and take items, as everyone is welcome to whatever they need.

There will be four advance clothing drop-offs for the event.

Those will be on:

-October 14–17: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Service Ontario, 36 Elora St. S, Harriston

-October 14-17: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at The Grove Palmerston, 390 Main St. E. Palmerston

-Friday, October 17: 4–6 p.m. at Harriston-Minto Community Centre

-Saturday, October 18: 8–10 a.m. at Harriston-Minto Community Centre
