Wiarton Homecoming offers fun filled weekend

Wiarton is once again rolling out the welcome mat for residents and visitors with an exciting lineup of events for Homecoming Weekend 2025, running August 1 to 4 at 400 William Street at Bluewater Park.

The weekend launches Friday evening with Rotary Bingo at 5:30 p.m., followed by the kickoff of the North Western Rural Cup Fastball Challenge, which continues through Monday.

Saturday starts bright and early with the Veterans’ Ruck March at 6 a.m., and the day is filled with classic attractions like the Rotary Food Booth, market vendors, and community displays. New this year is a Drone Light Show at 10 p.m., promising a high-tech finale to the day’s events.

Other Saturday highlights include a Classic Car Show at 11 a.m., a Cornhole Tournament, a pig roast, and musical entertainment and games for all ages throughout the day.

Sunday serves up a mix of family-friendly fun, including a Kids Foam Party, Touch-a-Truck, and the Wiarton Chamber Fish Fry. The day concludes with an outdoor movie at 8:30 p.m. at the BWP Bandshell.

The festival wraps up Monday with continued fastball finals and free public swimming at the BWP Pool from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
