There are currently three beaches in Huron County that have been deemed unsafe for swimming by public health officials.
According to the Huron Beach Info account on "X", formerly Twitter, testing has revealed that bacteria levels are too high along the beaches for swimmers.
Those beaches include Ashfield Township Park, Goderich Main Beach, and Goderich St. Christophers.
Samples taken on July 23 show higher than allowable bacteria for Ontario health standards. People should avoid swimming and keep children and pets away from the water until further testing samples show a reduction in bacteria.
