From July 31 to August 4, the Ripley Reunion will bring generations together once again for four days of fun, tradition, and small-town hospitality.
Held once every ten years, the Ripley Reunion is more than just a long weekend, it’s a homecoming. Themed “The Ground We Grew Up On,” this year’s event celebrates the community’s deep roots, shared memories, and bright future.
"It’s a generational celebration of home. It’s a time when former residents come back, current residents roll out the welcome mat, and new faces experience the warmth of small-town southwestern Ontario," stated organizers. "Whether you grew up on a nearby concession or are just discovering the charm of Ripley for the first time, the Ripley Reunion promises a good time and memories that will last another ten years."
Running from Thursday to Monday over the August long weekend, the Reunion is expected to draw hundreds of current and former residents, families, and visitors to the village in Huron-Kinloss.
The event lineup promises something for all ages - from lively entertainment and live music to family-friendly activities, historical displays, local food, and a whole lot of community pride.
"We have a full weekend," said Matt Farrell, Chair of the Ripley Reunion. "Thursday night is our ambassador competition, and official Kickoff to the event. Friday is the golf tournament. We have dances Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday night and Monday afternoon."
The reunion parade starts at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
"We have sports happening, we have children's activities happening Saturday and Sunday," Farrell added. "One of the highlights for us is the bed race, which takes place Monday morning at 11 o'clock at the main corners."
Organizers encourage people to check the full schedule online and plan their weekend early. With ten years since the last reunion, there’s plenty to catch up on and new memories to make.
