St. Marys summer concert series to feature local talent

Cadzow Park in St. Marys will be filled with music every Wednesday evening in August.

The St. Marys Museum will be hosting its 12th Melodies at the Museum summer concert series on the outdoor performance stage at the green space at 217 Park St. each Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. starting on August 6.

Longtime St. Marys residents Jess and Andrew Damen kick off the series with a mix of original and cover songs. It is their first time performing at Melodies at the Museum. On August 13, musical duo MeganBrady return to the stage with a blend of oldies, classic rock, and pop tunes. The following week, Kintore-based jazz septet Jazzm@x performs. Former museum employee, Jaron Camp, along with Rachael Frankruyter, close out the summer concert series on August 27. Together Camp and Frankruyter are the duo York Street Thought Process, which includes a playful mixture of indie-folk and improvisation, from a wide range of original music to classic covers.

Entrance to each of the concerts is by donation, with all proceeds going to support the St. Marys Museum. In the event of inclement weather, cancellation notices will be posted on the museum's Facebook page by 5 p.m. the day of the performance.
