Kincardine ready for more Pride events to round out the month

The Municipality of Kincardine has a few more events planned for Pride Month.

On June 21, the municipality is joining Kincardine Pride’s annual Pride Parade and following celebration in Victoria Park.

The parade begins on Gary Street, flows down Sutton Street to Broadway Street, then turns left onto Queen Street, coming to an end on Durham Market North. The celebration will continue in Victoria Park from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.with vendors, family activities and more.

On June 26 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. the Municipality will host a Rainbow Registered information session for businesses, organizations, and service groups interested in exploring this accreditation program. Finally, the municipality will host an online workshop facilitated by Rainbow Diversity Institute on July 8 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. The session will "focus on the realities of sexual and gender diverse people, and educates participants on 2SLGBTQ+ communities," according to a media release from the Municipality of Kincardine.
