Bruce County is reminding truck drivers that a weight restriction remains in place for the Durham Street Bridge as construction continues.
Last week, workers shifted the alternating lanes from the south side of the bridge to the north side. But while work is progressing, there remains a three-level load limit in place.
That means the maximum weights are 15 tonnes for single-unit trucks (typically with two axles), 25 tonnes for larger trucks or tractor-trailers with more axles, and 30 tonnes for multi-axle combinations or full tractor-trailer units.
The County says commercial trucks must use the alternative truck routes until repairs are made to the bridge.
