Second public session on Saugeen Shores service level plan set for April

The public will have another chance next month to hear details and ask questions about Saugeen Shores' plan for proposed levels of service.

What the town is calling a "public information centre" will be held virtually on Zoom from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on April 9. Those in attendance will hear a brief presentation on the findings of a proposed levels of service study, which includes how the town will maintain, repair, and replace its core and non-core assets. The current level of service was determined in the 2024 assess management plan, with next steps to determine whether these service levels meet the expectations and needs of the community.

"[Saugeen Shores] is working with consultants to help develop ways to measure the proposed levels of service and identify the planning steps needed to reach those service levels," the town said in a statement.

Following the presentation, the team working on the project will take questions and offer further discussion.

For those who can't attend, a recording of the virtual meeting, presentation materials, and draft report will be posted to the project website. Printed copies of the presentation can also be requested for pickup from the municipal office at 600 Tomlinson Drive in Port Elgin by calling 519-832-2008 x108.

More information about the project can be found at www.engage.saugeenshores.ca/LOS.
