Time is running out to apply for the 2026 Chatham-Kent YMCA Celebration of Youth scholarship awards.
A total of 11 scholarships worth $1,000 are available to local youth between the ages of 17 and 20, whose outstanding talents and achievements have made a difference in the community.
The awards focus on youth who have demonstrated leadership, sensitivity to others, innovation, development of personal talents, overcoming personal challenge and service to the community. Special consideration is given to those facing financial barriers.
The deadline to apply is Friday, May 15, and the categories include science and technology, apprenticeship, volunteerism, health sciences, and others.
