CK police continue training in Chatham

Chatham-Kent (CK) police are once again conducting training exercises in Chatham this week.

Police said there's no need to be alarmed over the noise coming from the mock drills.

The training exercices are being held at St. Ursula School at 426 Lacroix Street in Chatham through Thursday.

Police warn residents about an increased police presence in the area during the training and that "realistic sound effects" may be heard by nearby residents during the exercices.

"Members of the public are advised that this is only a training exercise. There is no cause for alarm," said CK police.

Police are asking people to avoid the area while the exercises are underway, adding they appreciate the public's understanding and cooperation as officers participate in this "important training."
