Thamesville pair arrested following Wallaceburg break-ins

A couple of break-and-enters in Wallaceburg have led to the arrest of two people.

Chatham-Kent police said they arrested and charged a 39-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman from Thamesville after searching a rural property in the Thamesville area on Thursday.

According to police, a vehicle believed to have been used in both break-and-enters was discovered during the search.

Police noted the arrests were part of an ongoing investigation into the break-ins on February 14 and February 16 at a business on Arnold Street in Wallaceburg.

"Through continued investigation, members of the Intelligence Unit obtained information that led investigators to believe evidence related to these offences was located at a residence near Thamesville," said police.

The pair faces break-and-enter charges.

Police said the investigation continues.
