Impaired Charges

A 35-year-old woman from Walpole Island has been charged with drunk driving following allegations she drove the wrong way on a road in Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent police alleged the woman was driving on the wrong side of the road on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg before entering a parking lot on Monday evening.

Police also alleged they found open bottles of liquor inside the vehicle, and that she allegedly failed her breath tests.

Mischief Charges

A disturbance at police headquarters in Chatham has led to mischief charges against a man from Chatham-Kent.

Chatham-Kent police alleged the 52-year-old man went to police headquarters on Monday night, violating his probation order, and damaged property inside the police front lobby.

According to police, the accused defaced a police sign in the lobby.

Break-and-Enter Charges

Charges have been laid against two men from Chatham-Kent following a report of a break-and-enter in downtown Chatham.

Chatham-Kent police alleged the 37-year-old man from Harwich Township and the 28-year-old man from Chatham-Kent forced their way into a building on King Street West in Chatham shortly after midnight on Monday and attempted to pry open multiple doors before being interrupted by the complainant.

They ran away, but were arrested a short time later on King Street West in Chatham after being identified through surveillance footage, according to police.
