Assault at a Business
A 33-year-old woman has been charged after allegedly assaulting someone at a Chatham business.
The incident happened on Halloween on King Street West.
According to Chatham-Kent (CK) police, the woman was asked to leave the building but refused.
She then reportedly grabbed an item and threw it at a 50-year-old man. Police did not specify whether the man was a customer or an employee.
The victim did not need any medical help.
The woman was arrested and charged with assault.
She remains in police custody, with her next court appearance scheduled for Wednesday.
Assault Using a Vehicle
CK police have charged a 40-year-old man for reportedly trying to hit a man with his vehicle.
The alleged incident happened on Saturday, with police saying the man drove intentionally at a 34-year-old man standing in his driveway.
It was not mentioned whether the two men knew each other.
After fleeing, the suspect returned and tried to get inside the victim's home. The two reportedly got into a physical fight before the accused left again.
Police later found and arrested the suspect, charging him with assault, assault with a weapon, and dangerous operation of a vehicle.
He's since been released from custody with a future court date.
